| Known as "The Wizard," Mike Corbin always
has something new and exciting on the drawing board at the
Corbin Industries facility in Hollister , California . Recently,
Mike took Brian and the crew through the facility and let
them in on some of the newest developments in the range of
products that Corbin has to offer.
As "The Idea Guy" himself took us through the facility we
started where else? Motorcycle seats! First, Mike showed
Brian the newest innovation for electronic heated seats.
Then, he displayed a working model of what he referred to
as the 'Rumble Seat." This seat, soon available for the Harley-Davidson
Road King, Road Glide, and Electra Glide (FLH) offers the
sleek look of Corbin's Gunfighter model; however, with the
push of a button, a rear portion of the seat folds back and
converts it to a dual seat complete with passenger back rest!
Pretty cool, huh? Then, Mike showed the crew another new
feature that will be available in 2004: a key lock system
wherein the entire seat can be removed and then locked back
into place! Next, Mike showed Brian the new series of "Chin
Spoilers" for cruisers that helps to keep the bike clean
and adds a distinctive appearance. These parts are available
in primer or black and feature a billet aluminum grill.
Finally, for people who just don't want to give up their
Corbin seats when they leave the garage, they can have them
inside the house as well as Mike introduced us to the cool
line of Corbin Furniture. These custom couches are the coolest
thing on no wheels as they resemble some of the classiest
and baddest cars that ever cruised the streets or hit the
strip. Mad e from fiberglass, and upholstered in the finest
leather, you can find your favorite hot rod designs including
57 Corvette or 57 Chevy (their best seller), a 50 Mercury,
a Shelby Cobra (licensed by and autographed by the legendary
Carroll Shelby), and the newest addition to the fleet, a
Dodge Viper. All the couches are available in some of the
original factory colors and you can even have some of them
with flames if you like! And by the way, these couches even
feature storage compartments and tail lights that work! But
wait-the folks at Corbin couldn't
leave out the motorcycle influence here! Also featured is
a cool art deco recliner in the style and classic design
of the Indian motorcycle, complete with fringe! Now, whether
you are on the road or at home, you can feel the quality
of a Corbin seat. If you would like more information on the
wide line of Corbin parts and accessories, visit them on
the web at www.corbin.com or
