George Munger, Sales Manager, states that the company's new involvement in high-performance comes from the fact that the founder of the company was really into racing. He also states that he found that many of the consumers who were purchasing new motorcycles said that the performance of their bikes did not meet their expectations. Consequently, a need was seen and the new line of Wild Things parts was developed to meet the challenge.
Performance Product Line Manager, Mike Roland, describes the company's production objective as an effort to create what he calls, "broad, useable power bands" that will dramatically increase engine performance, and through their new line of high-performance heads, cams, throttle bodies, and other accessories, they are not just "talking the talk" but they are "walking the walk" as well! Just to give you some idea of the significant increases in horsepower and torque that can be attained with Wild Things parts, we'll let a dyno tell the story. During their dyno tests, a stock 95-inch Harley-Davidson made 56 horsepower and 70 foot-pounds of torque. Then, after a Wild Things "makeover," the same bike produced 120 horsepower and passed 100 foot-pounds of torque!

Speaking of making products, Kuryakyn also has several new developments in its Wild Things line such as upgrades for fuel injection systems, and they are also developing complete engine packages and exhaust systems. Currently, Wild Things parts are only available for Harley-Davidson motorcycles, but don't worry because they are designing a complete line of performance parts for metric motorcycles as well.
