Chop it with Big Mike | Part 7 - Written by Keith Fudge

During the course of watching Big Mike and his crew build the “Chop It” bike, we’ve learned one thing for sure:  it takes a lot of fast food to get the job done!  Well, today is the final day as Big Mike and the guys install the final touches on the bike.

First, Vac was busy fabricating the pipes and when finished the boys were “layin pipe” in a serious way with a black powder-coated exhaust system.  Next, in true old-school spirit, the flamed tank and fenders were installed.  “Paint makes the bike,” Biggie proclaimed with smile.  Clay then took care to install the chrome air cleaner and while he was doing that it was time to choose a seat from several that had been supplied.  Mike and the boys chose an old-school gold quilted seat that really brought the bike together and perfectly complimented the flamed paint.

At last, it was time to “fire that mother up,” and after it cranked right on cue Biggie smoked the rear tire!  So, in short here is what went down.  This rad retro ride was raked, stretched, breathed, piped, painted, and smoked.  And that, my friends is how you CHOP IT!!!  If you would like to see the completed bike, give Biggie and the boys a visit on the web at www.bmcchoppers.com.
